May The Fourth Be With You: Happy Star Wars Day!

I don’t want to stereotype here and say that all geeks are excited about today, but I’m willing to bet that a fair number of you have May 4th marked on the calendar, just like Grandma’s birthday and that long-awaited game release. (Diablo III, anyone? Sigh.)

For you Star Wars and Apple-lovers out there, a bunch of  Star Wars iPhone wallpapers.

If you want to make some Darth Vader cupcakes today, here’s a quick tutorial for the ones shown below.

The Venn diagram for people who love Star Wars and High School Musical probably looks something like this: O O

That said, somebody put the two together to make this video, which is… yeah. It’s something.

If you find your lack of SW knowledge disturbing, why not head to Wookieepedia and brush up on trivia? (Related: TIL that Saadoon-Kauldi was a Force-sensitive Kadri’Ra slave who was freed by members of the Twi’lek Badawzi family and eventually became a spice-dealing crime lord. The more you know.)

Get lightsaber finger tattoos! Because WHY NOT.

And if you find yourself in need of some recruits for your Star Wars-themed activities, try some of these propaganda posters.

We’ve also featured some rather sexy ones on [GAS] in the past as well right here.

However you spend the day, have a good one. And May the Fourth be with you.

  1. No way. May 25 has been Star Wars Day since I was around 14. I get the punniness of the "May Fourth," but this holiday isn't canon in my life just because some dude on Facebook made the joke four years ago.

  2. I much prefer the idea that March 4th is Grammar Day because it's the only date that forms a sentence.
