25 Responses to Is the glass half-full or half-empty: College Major Edition
Physics: Half of the glass is full of water, the other half is full of air, so the glass is always completely full.
Quantum Physics: The glass is both half-full and half-empty at the same time until it is observed.
Common sense: Half a glass of water.

I wonder if they messed up compliment/complement in the Art major one on purpose…

Math major: It doesn't matter because they meet at a point at infinity.
Honestly, though, I always say "the glass is at half capacity." I'm not sure what my major should have been, based on that.

Logical: The glass is neither half full nor half empty, Despite the location where water and air meets bisects the glass horizontally, given that the vessel is conical in shape, the glass is clearly less than half full of water, thus the glass is more full of air
This is like a classic question like the "which came first?" question… :)
Me: It's not Dr. Pepper!
History: Currently the glass is at its midway point, but it has varied in profundity throughout its history.

The glass is half filled
psychology+logic: a glass itself is empty in the first place << (pessimistic part). So, if we fill it with water, even one drop, then it's a little fuller… if we have half a glass, than it's half-full… (optimistic part) So, I'm pessimist or optimist?
