EW has just released the first official pic of Adrianne Palicki wearing the Wonder Woman costume for NBC’s reboot of the classic 1970s series. Check it out:

So what do you guys think? Yeah or Nay? Looks like something a cosplayer would wear if you ask me! :)

      They look like they might be artificial.

      Not that there's anything wrong with that but, Lynda Carter was 'all woman', if you take my meaning.

      Besides, I don't think Amazonian women had much call for saline implants – being all Amazonian, and all. :)

  11. Don't like it! I'm all about the classic Wonder Woman…this just does not do it for me. Not every superhero needs to be in spandex-y pants and super glossy fabric! Not to mention, how can she move in that stuff? DISLIKE…

  15. The boots would look good if her legs were bare- they're dreadful blended into the pants like that. The outfit would need to go back to the hotpants or swimsuit-ish.
    I really do hate those pants though. So plain & shiny, she looks like an action figure someone forgot to finish painting.
    I agree with several other people's comments I've read, the material looks pathetic. It looks like a roleplay fetish suit or goofy Halloween costume, not like anything anyone would wear for a real TV show.

  16. The pants are way too tight and shiny- the old short costume with blue tights would be much more practical and look better. Actually the whole outfit is too shiny. And they should have kept the boots red and white, would look better against the blue.

    • She needs her red boots back. and where are her white stars? if she -must- have pants, at least let them be reminiscent of her skirt. But, truthfully, i want her old outfit back. It was still "Truth, Justice and the American way" But you could still see the greek inspiration.

    Over all I think it looks like she's wearing a toothpaste tube.

  25. Yeah…not the biggest fan of this look. I guess it depends on where they're going with the character but it seems really…odd. And definitely very cosplay-ish.

  27. Hell Nay!!!!!! Lose the blue tights. WW should have that high cut leotard look or where would the Wonder be?

  29. It looks horrible and cheap. WW had red boots that actually fit and those plastic pants/tights look like the crotch is about 3 inches too low. Looks almost like they ran out of baby powder to pull them up all the way.

  31. Nay. I love LINDA CARTER! She was really awesome as Wonder Woman! Agree with Jamal Jeffery: It looks fake and ugly. An EPIC FAIL.

  40. This looks like the plastic and coloring of an action figure, with about the same range of motion. I think they should have just ditched the origin's outfit aspect of the theme and gave her a totally unique amazonian attire.

  41. Why did they go all plastic-y? If they were smart, they would have gone more "Zena: Warrior Princess" with the costume. Clothe and leather instead of plastic. At least attempted to make the gold look like a metal.

    I can already tell they're going for "Cheesy" with this series. I'll be surprised if it makes it past the first season. >:(

  45. The clothes… well, no. Looks like a cheap cosplay outfit. If they'd made her less shiny, more gritty I'm all thumbs up. The woman… where are the muscles? I like my Wonder Woman to have a bit of muscle on her to at least give the illusion of that she's strong. Like her face though.

    • So true! One of my major complaints with Wonder Woman wanna-be's is they never have any arm or leg muscle. They don't need to look like he-girls, but they could at least look like they can't lift a 30 pound box. >_>

  46. We go from a beautiful NATURAL woman to an implanted, TICK level costumed one. I am sure she is a wonderful person, but I do not like this at all.

  52. Thanks for the link; the design doesn't look as "red, white, and blue-ish" as the Linda Carter style, but it has a darker character feel.

    Definitely feels like someone with as back story worth finding out about.

  55. Top to bottom:

    The shape of the head piece works well and her make up is good, but the red star should appear to be made from a ruby and the metal should shine more like gold.

    As for the corset thingy, the eagle should appear to be more of a gold metal as well as the bottom trim, also the red stars should appear to be made from rubies. The red material should not be glossier than the metallic parts. However the cut is excellent.

    The arm bands are fine.

    The lasso is fine.

    I'm chill with the leggings, but they should be of a much darker blue. I would rather see a skirt, but there are too many booty men out there to please.

    The boots should be red and white, not blue, but other than that they are fine. It's nice to see that they don't expect her to fight in stilettos.

  58. NOT happy at all :( my hopes are shot down after this photo. It looks like she's posing for a halloween costume ad.

  60. yeah it looks all crappy and plastic. heck, it's actually too tight – it's flattened out across her crotch. shouldn't even be trousers, but even so, just crap. poor effort and none of it looks like it's made of metal. it's just… too obviously… well it might as-well be gimp-wear :/
