  1. I know this follows the usual "hot girl+geek related clothing+gadget and/or book=hot nerd chick" but damn if that formula doesn't work on me every single time!

  2. A friend reminded me of the greatest code in the world the other day.

"Here. Use this. It always works.

Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start.

    Use it wisely."

    In this case. I will.

    • My thougts were… a real UNIX geek doesnt buy a book about it, he download the pdf or something like that, everybody know buying computer books its a waste of money because of how fast they get obsolete

      • If you look closely, you can see that it's a textbook. Someone was forced to buy that book for a computer technology class. Stupid prof's don't seem to remember that we're on a budget.

      • Illustrated guide to TCP/IP vol 2
        Any book by Tanenbaum
        Digital Circuits Fundamentals
        Solaris Internals
Just to name a few that I’m happy I have in my bookshelf (that I remember even before my morning coffes kicked in)
What get’s obsolete quickly is the books about computer programs.

        • I also have kept textbooks, but a network programming text? Too much money for not enough learning.
