These aren't universal worldwide. Australians don't view that sign as "Peace" The people in the Mediterranean don't view that sign as "Rock" The French don't view that sign as "Ok" In addition, many cultures view crossed fingers as a sign of lies and deceit.
Yeah, crossed fingers means "I'm going to break that promise". Central Europe!
And the 'O' means (methinks, not just in France), "asshole".
Aussies and Brits, we don't see that as a peace sign at all.
