I’m a fan of interesting information visualizations, and the flowchart is a great one for aspects of narrative.  This one focuses on the “one- and two-dimensional female characters we see over and over again in modern fiction.”  Whether you agree with the laying out of stereotypes or not, it’s a pretty neat exercise and a nice bit of flowcharting in Illustrator.  You’ll also recognize some of your favorite genre heroines there as well – because after all, two-dimensional characters make the fictional world go round!  And it rather makes me appreciate my favorite strong female characters even more…
