Since Nathan Fillion played Captain Malcolm Reynolds on Firefly and Captain Hammer in Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, it stands to reasons that people greet him as “Captain” I guess.

Why is it a thing to over explain the joke in a caption? Can we stop this trend? I don't like it.
I required the caption to make sense of the 'joke' here as I have no idea who this guy is. but you're right, if you don't get it straight away, it won't be any funnier after reading the caption.
