  1. There are a few things wrong with this, first 99% of FF leagues don't allow less than 8 people. Second, it's not really a strange language. Pretty much anyone can understand the language associated with FF. The only time when FF get's tricky is when you start factoring in points. Another thing they forgot was that most leagues are money leagues. I've never heard of anyone gambling on a D&D game. FYI, I play both.

    • Seriously? You've never heard of a D&D game played for money and yet you claim to play D&D. Sound more like a football fanboi that doesn't want to be associated with us "nerds" that play D&D. S'alright broseph, your seekrit is safe with us. LETS GO COWBOYS! SCORE SOME HOMERUNS!

    • Actually, you're wrong when you say "pretty much anybody can understand the language associated with FF." In both instances, you have to learn the language. It's just that most people who know sports (and I know plenty of men–yes, straight–and women who DON'T follow sports and therefore do not know the language) grow up knowing sports and don't remember a time when they didn't understand them. D&D "language" isn't difficult to figure out and, just like with FF, is only tricky when you start factoring points. And people do play for money, believe it or not. You say you play both games, but I'm going to go out on a limb here and say you're not as familiar with D&D as you'd have us believe.

  7. You've never heard anyone do Jimmy Johnson impressions, Bob?

Sounds like some people stumbling across this are getting all angry that someone had the nerve to link their fantasy universe filled with role play to another fantasy universe filled with role play.

  11. I'd love to hear what "talking in character" in fantasy football is, to reiterate what Bob said.

  13. I think everyone needs to relax a little. I play Fantasy Football (Or Dream Team here in Aus), but I dont beat anyone up.. I like sports but I work in television and freelance design. I was bullied in school, but I don't know anyone who wasn't? I happen to support my football team when Im not doing time-lapse photography and playing video games. D&D isn't as prominent in Australia but I would certainly like to play it. I don't appreciate the generalizations aha. I think you guys need to relax. Its a humorous comparison..

  15. The title is fantasy football vs. D&D, and yet in the list comparing the two you have D&D first. It was very disconcerting. I threw up a little.

  17. I think the idea behind this comic is funny and interesting, but it was poorly implemented. They definitely could have taken a little more time and come up with some better comparisons and contrasts.

Also, I have to agree with some of the other posters; I've been in several different FF leagues with lots of different people and never heard of anyone speaking in character.

I guess number 5 goes over my head. What 'weapons' are in FF and how are doritos a weapon in either setting?

  19. Lots of people above: "I never hear anyone speaking in-character at FF drafts".

…interpret "speaking in-character" as "some moron attempting to do an impersonation of John Madden", and I guarantee you'll put a checkmark in that box.
