The film was fun to watch, I do have to agree with some others that there were parts that needed more work (The crime scene with the stiff dialogue from Det. Montoya pops up in the forefront) but as a whole it was a great fan film. It would be great to see most of them take similar approaches to making a high quality shorts like this, but then again lots of fan efforts don't have many available funds. It's great to see how a little money can go a long way in the hand of talented people.

The negative comments and unfavorable comparisons are irrelevant–Dead End is superb, but can't another film stake its own claim alongside it? Flawed perhaps, in brief, forgivable instances; masterfully done—yes, and that is not a contradiction. This movie has a visceral energy and implacable, somber presence that captures the uber-realist Batman/Gotham City universe in a way big budget films, including Nolan's, rarely do. The grime and sweat and pain feel real, and convey the desperation behind the methodology of a small boy inside a self-created monster who will forever war against the loss of all light. Well done, and a worthy addition to the cinematic pantheon of the true Dark Knight.

Calling this short a masterpiece only makes you look like one of the biggest douche bags on the planet. What a complete and utter waste of $27,000. I bet a good portion of the money went to renting Bruce's car. The rest probably went up this directors nose as he wrote one of the shittiest short screenplays period. This short also shows why Scarface can not be taken serious in a film. Comes across way too stupid to even comprehend. I hate to bad mouth people trying, but this thing was a flaming turd from the get-go. Shit, all-the-way-around. Sorry. And I am starting up a Tumblr page for this short, talking about how shitty this thing is.

The BEST Batman short film I have seen. Dead End is NOTHING compared to this masterpiece. Even though it lacked in some areas, I am undoubtedly sure that if it had the right budget, it would be a great Batman movie. It captures all of the essence Batman has in the comics. Simply brilliant and stunning. Talk about conscience…
