  1. I don't like that the narrator states "Guy everywhere", when there is a large amount of women who are also confused and disgusted at the Twihards (me included). Half of my female friends think the writing and characterization is horrid and the movies are just as bad.

Aside from that, the first video is pretty true and amusing in some ways. The second one is kinda of gross but probably more or less true, sad to say :/

Have you guys seen the video where there was a fake pre-screening setup by some comedians and a bunch of screamy fangirls got all upset when they found out it was fake? Too good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_Xma9Q6bmA

    • What's really hilarious is this: What we, as men, are actually experiencing here is *not* a reaction to a shitty novel, but in fact shock and offense at seeing, for perhaps the first time ever in the mainstream, the over-sexualization and objectification of the male figure.

      This. Is. Hilarious.

This must be how women everywhere have felt for the last few million years!

      • Not really. The inverse of that would be a movie/book where the hot over-sexualized woman obsesses over a man. Those stories exist too, but they're directed at women. Movies for guys include sexism, but its usually as a backdrop for male leads to do manly stuff in a manly way.

Twilight is not quite the feminist counterpoint to that.

        • I think what he means is how society is dominating the female, painting that they have to be extreamly atractive and this and that in media. The media is dominated by male agenda. So twilight is quite what the media would look like if female was dominant and portrayed how man should look to feel normal.

  3. the narrator's voice made me want to gouge my eyes out, otherwise he made the general consensus viewpoint of everyone that hates the stupid books, nothing new to see here

  5. I think Twilight, while being a literary abortion, has been helpful. When I ask a woman I would like to date if she likes Twilight if she says 'Yes' I know shes an idiot. If she says 'No' she is worth dating. If she says' What the fuck is Twilight?' I will marry her.

  7. To alleviate a friend of mine from the struggle of telling me over and over "how good the writing is", I read another book by the author of Twilight.

It had a sci-fi flavor, and what could have been a very good and interesting storyline. What it ended up being was what I think of as poorly-written female characters who define themselves entirely by the man they are interested in and what he thinks of them. *sarcasm* Way to empower young women.

  9. Its popular because people are getting dumber with each generation so of course poorly written books and cheap entertainment will suffice for the borderline retarded.

  13. While the points are really basic–not that I was expecting much–I think this is funny. I can't stand Twilight. It's a disgrace to writers everywhere. Actually, it's a disgrace to anyone who knows how to use a dictionary and thesaurus correctly.
