Last month, in partnership with Neatorama, we held a caption contest offering two $50 gift certificates to two lucky readers. This month, we’ll do things a little differently. We’re giving away one FREE item on the Neatorama shop (valued at under $20) to 10 random readers! Here’s how to participate.

  1. Head over to the neatorama shop
  2. Browse around and find something you’d like to have (valued at under $20)
  3. Come back here and let us know about the item you picked (in the comments section below.) Oh, and be sure to use your correct email address in the email field and to include the link to the item in your comment. (comments moderation is enabled, so don’t double post if yours doesn’t appear right away)
  4. Wait until we announce the grand winners (we’ll update this post early next week)

I already have the chemistry cocktail set for my bar area, but my dream is to have a full Mad Science themed booze area by the time I own my own house! Is it wrong that I'm also buying up surplus laboratory glassware so I can make special cocktails using all the tubes and such?

    This would complete my greatest triumph, namely that I recently went to a 'Costumer Party as Long As Your Costume Starts with 'P'' (it was for Pablo, so that explains that). And was I a pirate, prince, or policeman? NO!! I was a 'Pittsburgh Penguin's Player Protesting Pluto's Planetary Punishment'. And if I win, I will provide photo evidence of same! Aloha!

    My boss needs this so much more than I do, and I know she would get the biggest kick out of it. She works her rear end off for her boss, who is constantly asking her to make the decisions that my boss isn't evens supposed to know about. At the end of the day we both just need a beer from dealing with all of the stress.

  72. After about an hour of searching the site for something that I would want, I ended up with about 9 things that would be great gifts for my friends. Not exactly what I was going for. I thought about doing a good thing. My best friend's birthday is coming up so I pondered something for her. But the one thing I really wanted to get her, the remote controlled zombie, was out of the under $20 price range.

    So instead I found something for selfish little me. However, it's something we all enjoy, or at least our inner children.

    Ladies and Gentlemen, I want the Box o Fun! I don't think there is a human alive today who could resist such an offer! Ever small novelty toy I've ever won from a fair and lost the next day all in one box! And just think, in two years my niece can play with them too… if I still know where they all are…

Sure, they may not be feelings as we know them, but surely a subroutine which runs endlessly until the proper voice command is given is akin to our need for a little love and attention. Plus robots never complain when you try to put a finger in them.
