Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow: Sexier than Catwoman?

In the upcoming Iron Man 2, Scarlett Johansson portrays Natasha Romanoff, otherwise known as Black Widow. The latest in a long line of female characters in the media to don catsuits and kick butt, Black Widow has been attracting recent attention, especially since these latest promo pics of Johansson were released.

Popaholic suggests that Black Widow might have even surpassed Michelle Pfeiffer’s portrayal of Catwoman in Batman Returns as the sexiest comic book character to hit the screen, but well, Catwoman is a pretty hard act to follow. Not only did Pfeiffer do something great for the catsuit long before Trinity or Seven of Nine, but Julie Newmar has been fueling comic book fantasies since 1966.

Okay, and despite the rest of the film, Halle Berry did the catsuit justice, too. So what do we think: Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Catwoman, or Other? Though perhaps more importantly, Iron Man 2 looks fantastic no matter what Johansson happens to be wearing.

    I'm not so sure we can write off crimes against humanity just because they have a "rcokin' body", otherwise we'd have to forgive Eva Von Braun… so in my opinion, before we approve of Scarlet i think we need to see her performance in more than just 5 second clips and promo stills.

      After all, didn't some "crappiest movie" awards just go to Transformers? And we all know Megan Fox is rocking every outfit they put her in.

  9. I think Scarlett looks great as the Black Widow! Personally, I think she looks better with blonde hair (since she is a natural blonde), but the red hair looks great too. I never knew anything about the character "Black Widow" but now I think she is the sexiest comic book character, especially because Scarlett is playing her!

  15. Scarlett looks good in the outfit, but I think Halle Berry in the Cat Women outfit was a better mix of class and "sexy" look. I know the younger guys will like Scarlett, but it's just one groups opinion.
