I tend to agree a bit with David. I enjoyed collecting Transformers and other toys slightly more when I didn't already know everything that was going be released for the next 12 months in advance.

I tried REALLY hard with Transformers 2 to completely avoid the news and spoilers but it just didn't work out quite as nicely as hoped.

Sometimes I miss the days when I could browse a hobby game store and find something new that I was not expecting. There was a greater sense of adventure and discovery.

Then again, there were things I never learned about because my local store didn't carry them.
