But i'm kind of glad, because it opens the market back up for someone else who isn't greedy / understands internet culture. Hulu.com was totally working, they are selling ads, cross promoting content, and providing a legal way for people to watch their favorite shows. They even had great - non intrusive commercials! What are they thinking. The ONLY way I'd pay a subscription fee is if their content opened up in a major way. Like say Netflix x 100.

What an EPIC FAIL.

But i'm kind of glad, because it opens the market back up for someone else who isn't greedy / understands internet culture. I know Internet petitions hardly ever work, but this may be just the situation they could work in... http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/hulu/ Worth a shot, anyway. I moved to Italy recently, and the only way I can see the shows I like is through illegal means. I'm not surprised they're changing their model, their ad density was way too low to support the business. People were spoiled for a while, but they should be rational and realize that it just wasn't sustainable.

I'm not so sure about that, I'd be willing to pay for this service if it puts an end to their stupid US-only restrictions. I just want to watch my tv shows. I liked Hulu, I could get all my shows in one place and it would be legal, and the ads were not too annoying. The only thing that this is going to do is make people use more illegal ways of getting the shows now. Also, these networks that don't have any or very few of their shows online need to get with it, I don't understand their reluctance to do so.

Eugh!
