3D Short of the Day: Indigen
September 29, 2009 by Geeks are Sexy | 6 commentsIn a savanna where remain the relics of a bygone war, a young African hunter protects his meal against an opponent who is as stupid as resistant.
Indigen is a computer generated short animated movie made within the framework of specialization in computer graphics with Supinfocom our school. We were 4 to work on this project. The production of the film (scenario, story-board, production, post-production) took us 6 months to complete.
Warning: Animation contains blood and gore.

The motion effects are very well done.
On the other hand: the squirrel character is stolen from Ice Age, some of the sounds are stolen from StarCraft and Command and Conquer, there is a totally gratuitous level of carnage, the plot is MIA, and the main character is arguably a racist Sambo charicature.
Uh, it’s not a squirrel, it’s some kind of worlf by the way, even though there’s a vague ressemblance.
Excessively gory. Inconsistent, even for a cartoon. Horrible!
This one is old…
And obviously it wasn’t a very serious project, since there is some obvious exaggerations in the animation. As well as some continuity misses.
the squirrel is not stolen from ice age. this film is SOOOO old, unbelievable to see it here NOW. =)
the short is from around 2000-2001 and was one of some shorts with the squirrel i think, wich then evolved to the first ice age – wich was first only a short, the intro of ice-age 1. THEN they made a full film of that. =)
so again: OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD!!!!!1! =)
Jesus what a miserable bunch of ungrateful readers you are……and @ Hugh Bothwell….racist?? get over yourself you numpty.
