If you use a headset with microphone and button built in, pushing the button will pick up / end the call. Music automatically resumes when you're done with the call. No silly manual interactions required ^_^ Hell, I could configure my phone to auto-pick up after 3 rings if I wanted, and never have to take the thing from my dashboard. These would really annoy me because I often only have one earplug in, so that the rest of the world can still somewhat reach me. Just the other day I was biking with both in, and almost got hit twice because I didn't hear that a car was right behind me...

Windows Mobile phones automatically pause your music when you receive a phonecall, and route the audio for the call through your headset. Anyway, I´m pretty sure that you all know that HTC Dream (Android) and probably other phones can automacaly pause if you just unplug the headset...

Actualy, I recall a phone (don´t remember the brand) that you could pause the music by pressing the mic button on the headset.

Anyway, I´m pretty sure that you all know that HTC Dream (Android) and probably other phones can automacaly pause if you just unplug the headset…

By: Benone

Actualy, I recall a phone (don´t remember the brand) that you could pause the music by pressing the mic button on the headset. I would not be surprised if Sony already has a patent on the idea though. For those who want to develop a similar system, here is an idea for Free (We'll have to keep this post to establish a precedent for prior art, to stop anyone else from patenting it): Put a pause button on the earpiece. This way it is easily accessible when you take out the earphone.

It is a great idea.
