i dont think it will be bad having disney owning marvel as long as it can keep the ark comics dark and have blood in others i wont mind

Not so funny, but when I first heard the news (yesterday), I pictured Toby McGuire removing his Spiderman mask, and having big, black Micky ears.

Maybe this news would be perceived differently if Disney doesn't seem to be more "bottom line" oriented, than imagination and creativity.

Hmm, to be fair, Disney actually owns a lot of companies in the entertainment media world.

So long as they hold off of those tie-ins and treat it as a separate brand, they should be okay.

I can't see them letting the comics die or change.

Um… Batman… um… yeah, he's not a Marvel character. We may need to re-evaluate your geek status. :)

This is the first negative comment I've heard on this deal. By all accounts no one expects Disney to muck with Marvel's comic lines and generally use this for the movies/tv etc.

Pixar + Marvel sounds like a great idea to me.
