Sticky Light: The Smart Laser Scanner Revisited

Invented by students from The University of Tokyo, this smart laser tracking system uses a laser diode, a pair of steering mirrors, and a single non-imaging photodetector to allow a laser spot to bounce on a figure being drawn on a piece of paper. You could even use it to play a pong game with your bare hands! Now, how cool is that?
