Not really true anymore, I dated a very cute blond after an argument over the placement of curly brackets. She was quite charming with her bucket-list of things she wanted to do. She certainly had a balanced social life too.

To your credit, any major programming endeavor will mandate months (if not years) of isolation in a cave (computer room). But this still does not translate to being socially inept and clueless either. I am perfecting an MC-based isosurface decimation and stitching algorithm for a game I'm working on while still making the women blush anywhere I choose to be.

A real geek is smart enough to realize that balance is important to a successful and happy life. Besides, I'm getting sick of all my programmer buddies hiding at the office on friday night playing board games and Magic the Gathering instead of showing more interest in meeting people. You guys suck.

One more thing I would like to say is that instead of trying to fit all your online degree lessons on days and nights that you finish off work (as most people are drained when they return home), try to have most of your lessons on the week-ends and only a couple courses for weekdays, even if it means a little time away from your saturdays. This pays off because on the week-ends, you will be extra rested along with concentrated for school work. Thanks for the different recommendations I have learned from your website.

I agree with U Christopher. I know a girl who come from the first promotion at an engineering school where I was myself this year. So this one has 3 years experience in computer engineering. She doesn’t look like strip dancer. Stop watching fast and furious and others transformers with call girls interesting and having know-how in tuning. Computer science requires to be serious, organized and to wear simple dress. A real geek don’t care about his or her social life. Computing isn’t a thing what people taking it thoughtlessly.
