Internet and mobile phones, direct access/contact to people, has made distances between us and companies/relatives/shops/friends etc a lot shorter...but once a certain link breaks down, you walk into the huge wall called physical boundaries: (if you talk to a lot of ppl further than 100 miles away or something similar) you may feel mentally cut off from the world, isolated, alone. It depends on your own home situation offcourse.
