It is not just Google but every major provider. Internet and mobile phones, direct access/contact to people, has made distances between us and companies/relatives/shops/friends etc a lot shorter...but once a certain link breaks down, you walk into the huge wall called physical boundaries: (if you talk to a lot of ppl further than 100 miles away or something similar) you may feel mentally cut off from the world, isolated, alone. I was IMing everyone at work and texting other people, "Is Google slow/not working for you?" I even went to that http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ site and it said Google was fine. Pack of liars. I can't access mail normally (damn work firewalls), but I was blocked from search, analytics, adsense, and reader. And Blogger, so I couldn't complain about it myself :(

I feel your pain.
