the first boss in the raid instance ulduar is named leviathan and it really looks like that one on the cover.. just a little bit more on the red cover ..but the look is quite the same ;D

I absolutely love when Kel's friends from ~~Japan~~the Yamani Islands are playing with the fan of blades and demonstrate its danger to Neal by slicing a pole in half.

Aggreed, Pierce captivated me in the way she built characters. The use of magic was depicted in a way that catergorised it too, druid versus wizard stuff. Interesting to read a warriors life from elly's perspective.

I was always a fan of Tamora Pierce's books. She wrote fantasy set in the Middle Ages (come on, where's the SCAdians?) that…while there was magic, it was often used in the "sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic" way. So the knights would be fighting in a war where the enemy had remote-controlled robots…in the 1500s.

But yay for A Wrinkle in Time series, yes.

Also, I read a book nearly 10 years ago where the main character finds out that he and half the town are aliens who've adopted a human appearance after their parents' generation ended up their years ago. Now they're starting to transform into their alien bodies. I think there was some kind of glove thing that they had to train with to learn how to shoot and there's some sort of violence toward the end…if anyone here's read it or know what I'm talking about, could you please reply with the title? I think the word "dark" was in the title, but I'm not sure.
