And even before that we were ripping it like that ourselves (we tend to share a large between 2 people a lot). As for converting to a storage box, Hell Pizza has been doing it for ages: http://www.boingboing.net/2006/05/04/pizza-box-converts-t.html These are very much not new ideas in the pizza world. Domino’s has been perforating the box lid fold for years (at least in Australia they have) so you can easily tear the top off as one plate and use the bottom as another.
