From postmodernbarney.com, a list of uncomfortable plot summaries.

With geeks in mind, some of my favorites:

ALIENS: An unplanned pregnancy leads to complications.
BATMAN: Wealthy man assaults the mentally ill.
BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER: Teenage serial killer destroys town in fit of semi-religious fervor.
DOCTOR WHO: Elderly man serially abducts young women.
HARRY POTTER: Celebrity Jock thinks rules don’t apply to him, is right.
IRON MAN: Alcoholic rich white man with technology fetish goes vigilante.
LORD OF THE RINGS: Midget destroys stolen property.
STAR WARS: RETURN OF THE JEDI: Handicapped mass murderer kills septugenarian, is lauded.
WATCHMEN: Homosexual destroys New York, blames God.

Uncomfortable indeed!

Now I’ve only seen the movie (not read the book), but where does it say that Adrian Veidt/Ozymandias was gay? I know there were 2 lesbian superheros who died early in the film, but other than that I didn’t pick up on any other homosexual relations.

I think that was based on all the purple and his impeccable hair. But no, I don’t remember him being gay in the movie either.

DRACULA: Immigrant clashes with locals.

That has to be my favourite from the list.

MIRRORMASK: Misfit discovers she is special person in secret world just beside our own.

Hmmm… But the whole movie was uncomfortable. No twisting necessary. That’s Neil Gaiman for ya.

Its heavily implied in the movie that Ozymandias was gay. Aside from the stereotypical pretty-boy looks and fashion, he’s seen entering a club in the opening montage while The Village People look on. Also, when Nite Owl and Rorshach are looking through his computer you see a folder named “Boys.”
