I'm betting the 'video editing' folder thing is simply a folder for 'frames', 'effects' and 'landscape:height ratio' choices for static images.

As in you get the menu for 'extra features' and then get a folder of ratios to prod at, a folder of effects to touch and a folder of frames to choose.

Once you've chosen which folder you wanna delve into, you can choose from an icon representing each choice (4:3, 3:2, 16:9, panoramic, etc) to apply to the photo you are about to take/have already taken.

It's probably something as simple as that.

I can't see the iPhone/iPod touch having a mini-iMovie just yet.
