Deal of the Day: Firefly – The Complete Series – $21.99
February 19, 2009 by Geeks are Sexy | 3 comments
Amazon.com currently has a huge special on Firefly – The complete series (DVD), one of the most beloved geek series of all time. They’re letting it go at $21.99, about 55% off the normal retail price. Unfortunately, if you want it under blu-ray, you’ll have to pay more than twice this price.
Five hundred years in the future there’s a whole new frontier, and the crew of the Firefly-class spaceship Serenity is eager to stake a claim on the action. They’ll take any job, legal or illegal, to keep fuel in the tanks and food on the table. But things get a bit more complicated after they take on a passenger wanted by the new totalitarian Alliance regime. Now they find themselves on the run, desperate to steer clear of Alliance ships and the flesh-eating Reavers who live on the fringes of space.

I’ve bought Firefly for a similar deal at HMV here in Canada (CAD24.99), tow or three years ago. I think they kept the same price since then.
I bought this same exact box set 2 or 3 years ago at Sam’s Club for $14.99. It was worth every penny and more, since the show has ended the fan base has grown huge!!
I miss the show so much! Have Jane T-shirts and everything… : (
