Being on the Net almost daily searching for new content, I regularly stumble upon game-based fan-created films, and most of the time, they suck real bad. But once in a while, I end up on a real gem, something that just WOWs me with its polish and originality. This is certainly the case with “The Craft of War: Blind”.

This fan-made short has been produced using the World of Warcraft universe and is supposed to be the first episode in a series of many. Let’s just hope that the author will keep his word and produce many other ones like this! Check it out:

  1. This is horrible. The music is trash and nothing really happens. “A GUY DIED!! EVERYONE RUN AROUND AND DO A LOT OF UNEXPLAINABLE MUCKING ABOUT!”

  3. gpeters… I truly hope you are not a police of any kind. Your deductive reasoning is horrible.

If you were a guard in some city, and saw an unconcious or dead guard off in the corner tucked in the shadows… you would be alert to some wrong goings-on.

The video is designed around two things. A.) you are capable of filling in the blanks of a story as it is progressing based on what’s going on and B.) you know a little bit about wow lore (and that is mostly who this video is catering to).

  5. there will be no more episodes…found this on his vimeo site:

Hey everyone, I thought I'd give an update since I still get plenty of people asking about future videos. Currently I don't have any plans to continue with The Craft of War. I've been delaying letting people know this because I didn't want to disappoint. I had thought people would forget about BLIND after a while but there seems to be a steady stream of new WoW players that see the video and ask about a continuation. Why won't I continue? It has to do with me being laid off from work earlier this year. I had to focus on finding a job so I quit WoW because, I'm sure you would agree, playing WoW takes up a lot of time, lol. Since my forced break from WoW I've lost my interest in playing although I still visit the WoW blogs and am still part of the officers mailing list for my guild. Maybe I'll find something that'll motivate me to play again. :) I think I'd have to start playing again in order to be motivated to make more The Craft of War videos.
