I rather suspect that shortly after Chrome is ported to Linux, some open source community guys will start work on porting Chromium to FreeBSD (if it even needs porting by that point — maybe it’ll just need to be recompiled).

Hmm… the middle mouse button scrollwheel works for me in Chrome. AFAIK its been using the same Windows message since they introduced that feature in Windows, so I wonder what could be different in your case.

Here’s another one: I can middle-click on most links to open in a new tab (just like Firefox), but it doesn’t work on the “Back” button. Grrr.

On top of the things you posted, and the bookmark issues as Pidgin pointed out I have a couple other little issues with it still. One being no middle mouse button ’scrolling’- I forget the proper vernacular for it, but it’s when you press down the middle mouse button and then you scroll by moving your mouse up and down. The other thing that’s a pain(although not Chrome’s fault at all) is I have come across a number of websites that feel the need to constantly bug me about my browser being “out of date”.

I find that to be one of the more useful features — I end up clicking on one of those most of the time.

If you’re worried about a *ahem* particular site showing up, you can always clear history through the wrench menu selection “Clear browsing data…”

Have you tried manually editing your search engines by right-clicking in the address bar and selecting “Edit search engines…” ?

I’m currently giving another shot to Chrome (the first time I couldn’t live without my Firefox extensions!)… I’ve already found a bug. While searching on YouTube, I was typing: “believe in love scorpions” and decided to try “believe in love” only, but then added scorpions again, at the beginning, so it should be “scorpions believe in love”, but it just acted as if I had INSERT on and visualy overwrote the first part of the query, even though when I pressed enter it searched correctly.

So there goes a bug! Chrome needs A LOT of work before I decided to permanently use it.

The one thing it’s got going for itself is that it’s damn fast loading!
