Makes me think of Monty Python–I think it was the opening scene from The Meaning of Life. Anyway, anything ridiculous paired with Wagner is always good for a laugh. Somehow those thundering tones announcing a battalion of bare-breasted beauties is hilarious.

I suppose it is NSFW, but I don’t see the harm in it as long as you label it so.

It occurs to me that whoever wrote this probably owes Douglas Adams’ estate some royalties. He has a scene like this in The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Universe. (the book), only his parachutists are completely nude. “We are not proud,” the Magrathean advertiser announces. I suppose Siemens can say the same.

The video is fine. Why do people shudder and flee when nudity is on? There WERE warnings. If you don’t like that sort of thing, then DON’T watch after you have been warned!

Good video. Not from a marketing sense, but I sure enjoyed it!

Not one to make it personal, but pathetic? Ah, un nom parlant.
I wish you the best in 2009 avoiding nudity. Go live on the North Pole, hardly ever nudity there. Cancel your ISP subscription too: all those naked bits and bytes to form representations of nude people are really the devil’s work.

Your complaint was used to verify if [GAS] readers were thinking the same thing.. and they did not… in fact, 95% of them enjoyed it, including many girls.

I forgot to add one thing. Why did I come back? Because I formally enjoyed this blog, and I wanted to see if it was removed for then I would have resubscribed, and then I saw that my complaint was being used for more fodder. Two very bad judgment calls.

Well since I was one of the complainers, I will post what I wrote plus some:

I don’t watch smut. It doesn’t matter if it is statistically one in a thousand or the size of a site. I don’t subscribe to those other blogs. I prefer the smaller blogs, but that was a very very very bad judgment call, and if that kind of objectification is what is appropriate to post with the headline best video ever, then sorry, I as a female am disgusted. It wasn’t just oh this ad is bizarre or funny or whatever. It was a complete horndog vid. I don’t expect a tech blog to host softcore porn. I really think you ought to reconsider leaving that up. For every person that writes you that they are unsubscribing, there are ten others that don’t write.

If it isn’t your habit to post things like that you shouldn’t. You should have trusted your gut, if you have to ask whether it is appropriate, ten people no less, then it isn’t. Seriously. Okay yeah it said some nudity and NSFW. I see that warning on some blog posts. I had a warning on mine similar because one picture possibly showed (only possibly) a fraction of a inch of this one guys crotch area. Okay it said some nudity. I expected okay maybe a flash of a boob shot. That was totally softcore porn and very damaging to young impressionable males and females. Men who expect that women should look like that, and women who think they have to pump their boobs full of silicone to look like that. I bet you one of out of ten sets on those ladies were real.

What the heck did that have to do with tech. Nothing.

Also if I did not misunderstand something from prior communications with the blog owner, the author is a minor. IF I remember correctly on that point (and I confess I might be wrong), does his parents approve or even know?

Of course I could have chosen not to watch it. I didn’t expect it to be that bad, but I would have watched it anyways, because I did (I no longer do) subscribe to this blog. That means my clicks and views help support ad revenue. I am not going to support a site that plays smut, and I don’t know if it is smut until I see it.

I only posted since the blog owner decided to make it a public matter which I think is also in poor taste. I did not write to her in order to be made in a statistic or a poll. I assumed it would be private. The fact is that most people don’t bother to write. If two did, twenty didn’t. I wouldn’t have written if I didn’t have prior very genial conversations with the blog owner before.

I have unsubscribed, and if you guys think it is fine to post smut, and potentially by an underaged person, great for you.

I will not be back for any abuse, so fire away.

I don’t see a problem with the content at all. It’s clearly marked NSFW. The site is Geeks are Sexy .. why should that mean it can’t show sexy video clips!

I was a bit bothered by the fact she was still wearing her high heels at the end though. :)
