They said they will go up to 10% of the cost fora similar model so £1000 today would give me a similar model upto £1100 in 3 years. I wonder if wiping and loading some other OS would invalidate the warranty, and thereby nullify the upgrade deal? But as you said, if you're going to run Linux, you shouldn't need a new one in three years anyway.
