This week’s pics examine the ultimate in permanent geek cred: the geeky tattoo.
A love/hate relationship with HTML:

A Klingon in disguise? (That’s right geeks - The tattoo is real, and so is the booze in that flask)

It’s dangerous to go alone! Take this:

The tattoo that must not be named:

I will add that this last one was particularly hard to pick… it turns out that a whole lot of people choose to decorate their bodies with Star Wars.
Do YOU have a geeky-themed tattoo? If so, then feel free to show it to us by leaving a link to a picture of it in the comments! We’ll have to moderate each one of them manually though, so if the link doesn’t show up right away when you click “add comment”, you’ll now know why.

If I might submit for consideration, my own tattoo…

My gf and I want to get matching geek tattoos. Me with a chocobo that has 13 on it’s chest and her a moogle with 37 on it’s chest.

My star wars sleeve - http://bathory.ca/tattoo/ (and barcode and princess bride, AND Fifth Element tattoos!)
Huzzah for geeky tattoos!
OH MY GOD Bathory, this is so AWESOME! You’re a walking piece of art
That is so gorgeous, a work of art
Not instantly recognizable, but it’s a tattoo I got of a symbol for Auguste Comte’s positivist philosophy. Comte coined the term sociology and I’m a sociology teacher, so it seemed appropriate.
I have actually seen someone with a “Mega Turrican” tattoo, yeah…that game
In a couple of weeks I’ll be getting my 4th tattoo, but my first geeky one - a tribal arm cuff with coloured gaming dice overlaid ^_^ Telling the world “Yes, I’m a D&D geek!”
Ha Ha Ha , the worst thing is that the tatoo representing salt (NaCl) is wrong, sodium and chloride don’t have a covalent bond, they have an ionic bond, so the tatoo is wrong! (and me knowing it is more geek than the tatoo itself).
If you’re right then that is freaking hilarious.
Its a Lewis representation of the bond, all hes done is include non valence shells… thats real geek
how about the fact that half of these arent real?
Here is my first tattoo: http://www.flickr.com/photos/7292515@N02/2265539657/sizes/o/
What is the triangle wrist one?
The triangle is the Triforce, from the ‘A Legend of Zelda’ games.
Incidentally, the tattoo is mine. Was a bit surprised to find a photo of my hands here!
Thanks for the Pic Jesper
We only used pictures that were licensed via creative commons, and that’s one of the reasons yours appeared here
No worries - it’s not my photo anyway, someone else took it at a conference I attended
I have Gauss’s Law on the back of my arm.
My Trogdor tattoo…
I’m actually thinking about getting one… Just don’t know which geek theme will more suit me
Wow, I actually really like that power button one. Nice list, thanks!
Cheers,
Glen
These are awesome but I just saw on Flickr that the power one is fake :[ there is a real power one though.
stupid cunts
It’s probably too late to submit one now, but I felt compared to share my first tattoo which I think is also pretty geeky.
-Part 1
-Part 2
A few small details missing from the NES design, but I’m happy with it.
Interesting.
