Beer-Pouring Robot Encourages Tipping

October 29, 2008 by Geeks are Sexy | 5 comments

TMCO, a manufacturer of metal products from Lincoln, Nebraska, recently held an open house party where they used one of their factory robots to pour beer to guests. If you keep on watching till the end, you’ll even see that the robot encourages tipping! A hat tip to the guys at TMCO for finding such a noble use for an industrial machine.

I want to see the robot smack the patrons if they *don’t* leave a tip.

Wow, your right, I love my beer to be half beer half head, let alone taking over two minutes for my beer to be poured. I would have to say that anyone that finds that to be better is probably a moron. Besides that, did I mention that the TMCO robot also makes money welding, which by the way is what its primary function is. So cheers to you for having a robot that is going to take longer to pour my beers than it does for me to drink them. Much better?

Ha, awesome. I keep on trying to get my R.O.B the robot to do that, but no success as of yet.
