I heard one Linux user say they definitely were not getting a new MacBook because it'd have Nvidia junk. I personally only get Intel graphics because ATI and Nvidia both only have closed source drivers that require jumping through hoops with every kernel upgrade (Ubuntu automatically updates them for you if you use their packaged ones, but if you install a newer version from nvidia.com you're on your own) and then only work rather half-arsedly anyway...they have a tendency to write drivers that don't actually play nice with Linux so that Nvidia and ATI on their own can be the sole cause of your lack of working suspend/hibernate/resume. Dual screen Nvidia is harder to set up than dual-screen ATI, but even that is bad compared to using Intel.

Contrary to that, Intel Just Works. Want Compiz? It just works. Plug in an external projector? It just works.

With the black keyboard and the glass-to-the-edge thing on the screen, Apple seems to be copying HP's style.
