Sounds like you need to study up on how to attach files in your email client. What client do you use?

TWAIN is an interface that allows applications to read images directly from your device. I don't know of any email clients that support it, though. Adobe Acrobat is a good example of an application that uses TWAIN -- you can use it to "Create PDF/From Scanner".

I think you'd have to scan to a file, and then attach the file. Unless your email client supports direct acquisition through TWAIN.

There is a similar review on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Epson-WorkForce-Wireless-Printer-C11CA18201/product-reviews/B001DJ9JF4/ref=cm_cr_dp_synop?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=0&sortBy=bySubmissionDateDescending#R1PLM9UCQ1VUSE

I don't have a way to test that here. Who sends faxes any more?

I read some bad reviews from customers at the Epson site indicating that the fax does not work with digital lines. Is it true? Why get a machine that is not digital compatible?

Might want to call Epson support in case it's a warrantable issue. Sounds like some sort of print head problem.

Yes, it will certainly work without a router if you use the USB cable and setup for direct connection. To run it in wireless mode, you need some type of wireless access point, I believe.
