I agree that it was very under publicized (I think I only saw one preview for it, though watching shows without commercials might have been to blame for that.) It had many little places that made me laugh during it. Also, like you said, the ending scene is quite dark and I was not expecting it. It very plainly shows what Patrick's motivations are (or, strongly reinforces your beliefs in what he wants, because it reveals that fact much earlier.) It was a good show, and I too will be watching it for the rest of the season. I already have TiVo set up to record them so I will not have to find them online again.
