There Mac commercials are the most stupid commercials I have ever seen. They make no sense at all and I would like to punch the person in the head for thinking of them.

Well, I’ve never had the problems you describe in 15 years of computing w/ Microsoft operating systems.

W/ Mac (which I have) you turn it on and do what you need to do which won’t be much unless all you need to do is type something.

I am a PC and I love it. I would never ever go to be one of those gay ass macs. Vista wasnt the best. Microsoft is correcting it, thats what good companies do, they FIX THEIR PROBLEMS, now apple is trying to say “they are covering up vista with windows7!”
Apple needs to stop attacking PCs like they are 12 year olds.
Grow up Apple.

The only reason a Windows machine gets random spyware/viruses is the morons that install executable files and addon’s when the porn sites they are visiting says they need to install to watch the latest dirty video. These are the morons that are so computer illiterate they should be running a Mac.

All Apple OS’s have just as many problems as any Microsoft OS, but they it is more difficult for the average user to quickly make a mess of the Mac OS.

Only if you don’t know what you’re doing. I’ve run XP Pro for years and never had problems with diminishing capabilities. My computer is 8 years old and is still nice and secure.

Mac is to general home computing what AOL is to the internet – its selling points are mostly good for those who don’t know what they’re doing.

Listen… Mac commercials are stupid and it is so ignorant of Mac to make commercials like that. Mac’s are good… but only good for certain things ( music, photo editting type of stuff ) . PC’s are universal you can do anything with a PC… Vista problems? Obviously your computer sucks too much to handle Windows Vista maybe you should upgrade? And who said you had to use Vista? XP is still a very fine OS. You guys think the commercials are funny? I think its a low blow to PC’s.. It’s like whats going on with McCain and Obama.. McCain is a Mac trying to put down Obama the PC as much as he can. POINTLESS.

Vista will run “ok” on 1 GB… 2 GB is preferred.
XP will run “ok” on 512 MB… 1 GB is preferred.

It all depends on your needs.

I only paid $855 for the laptop with an HP printer AND a digitial camera thrown into the package. That’s the cheapest laptop I’ve ever bought and it runs the best. Although it is the cheapest, it has the most RAM. I called it “low end” because it was cheap and because 2 gigs is supposed to be the absolute “minimum” needed for Vista. It sure doesn’t run like I have the minimum required RAM. RAM is cheap if you’ve only got 512 MB go buy a stick or two. I wouldn’t run XP on 512MB!

Anything with 2gigs is excluded from being called “low end.” Try it on 512mb.

The Mac adds are unfair but very effective. I was recently reminded of Microsoft’s effort to fight the Vista bashing with the “Mojave Experiment.” I hadn’t read about it. I’d only heard about it on TWiT so I Googled it. What I found were mostly sites bashing the “experiment.” I’ve actually used Vista on my laptop for 8 months. I run obscure older programs and Office 2003 without problems. I can’t remember the last crash I had. It seems very stable. And this is on a low end laptop with “only” 2 gigs of RAM.
