I really think that the Fango clan will be the greatest foes for this Batman in company of Dr. Strange.

I`m also think that an adaptation for Arkham Assylum could be a great movie too.

I am offended that someone would put Michael Keatons effort in the same category as George Clooney. Without Keaton & Jack Nicholson there would probably be no comic book movie franchises. So I suppose Val Kilmer was awesome??

Robin and Penguin shouldn't be used in the future - they are too campy. We're finally moving toward a dark, "realistic" Batman, and I'd like to see it kept that way.

I think they will pump out another movie or maybe two along this line, but they probably won't be as successful as this flick. Then Warner Bros/DC Comics will pull their ace: Batman/Superman movie. It was already a comic, and will definitely become a movie.

I think it could easily go a couple of ways. It could go for Catwoman, which with the death of his love interest in Dark Knight would pick up more or less where that left off. Or, it could get dark and psychological and have Huge Strange as a main character and Zsasz in a lesser role.

I think Riddler is a dead cert. He's alright, but is he really THAT different to The Joker? One of the main problems with Batman is, IMO, that the vast majority of his villains are incredibly lame. They're always really low-powered and ultimately while they're a challenge for him - as he's low-powered - it becomes more about a psychological game of wits and is slightly repetitive.

I haven't seen The Dark Knight yet, but I'm personally more interested in a JLA movie. I'd like to see Batman being more involved in the 'super-' side of the hero game, and going toe-to-toe against higher-powered foes (either with or against the rest of the team).

And of course they should leave Robin out of these far more serious films. Some things that once worked in comics in the 60s and 70s look incredibly lame now. Like deciding not to put Wolverine in yellow spandex in the X-Men movies (and upcoming Wolverine, which looks great from the trailer). Modern audiences just won't accept it.

Unless they offer some twist, like making Robin female. Or actually a robin, which could fly around and land on Batman's shoulder, chirping friendly words of advice.

It's probably Riddler for the next villian considering... he's in the 2nd movie.

No. Robin. Ever.

I heard a rumor that Bale said he would not reprise the role if they were to introduce a Robin. Plus, I think DC will be smart enough to avoid any more vigilantes than what is necessary.

Michael KEATON was, in my opinion, the greatest Batman. Yes, the second movie with the Penguin was horrible. But separating the movie from the Batman role, Keaton still rules.
I do think (unless they revised Robin's story to match the dramatic and dark way they're telling the stories in the newer movies) that Robin would quickly kill this franchise.
As for the bad guy selection: I don't know the villains of the series well enough to cast an intelligent vote. I knew in a couple Batman story lines, the Joker was a recurring and consistently terrifying rival of arch-enemy status. It is a shame, after this stellar delivery, that they'll likely tank the character of the Joker because of Heath Ledger's death.
