Working with people who were interested in learning & willing to be helpful and friendly got a hell of a lot more done then working with insulting jerks who thought they knew everything. Even if it turns out you DO know more (often the case if your knowledge is focused on a single piece while the tech has to know about a lot of different shit) you will get better service & you will learn a lot more if you act as a partner.
