At least that’s what they want to make us believe with this picture posted Wednesday by Sepah News, the media arm of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard. Since then, the photo has been published in numerous online and offline publications, including The Los Angeles Times, The Financial Times, MSNBC, Yahoo! News and countless others.
But it seems that Iranian State Media have a few Photoshop wizards among their ranks because today, the Associated Press released the same picture, but with a slight difference.
Nice Job Iran.

I love it when countries try to use photoshop…they NEVER get it right…
This is not the first time that Iran has used faked photos or videos to push its propaganda. They were busted in 2006 faking the sinking of a ship that was supposedly in the Persian gulf. They were trying to say that they could stop oil shipping if they wanted to and the video showed the Iranians destroying a ship.
The problem is that the ship in the video was stock footage of the Chinese military sinking a chinese ship.

Why do you immediately believe what you see?
You think a huge country like Iran with all it’s fully equipped medias will ruin it’s reputation this stupidly???
Why they need to do that?
Isn’t it that a person or an organization is trying to deface Iran’s image?
Don’t you protect your own country with state of the art weaponry?
You have this right, and Persia shouldn’t have it with it’s large oil and gas reserves while United States is just few miles away???
