Classic photos in Lego

When I was a kid, I was obsessed with Lego and now at the age of 33, I still am obsessed with it to a certain degree. If you want to keep me quiet, just pass me the bricks and ask me to build something!   A house, a tower or a multi-colored Imperial command bunker, I’m your man.

But today I found something amazing on Flickr.   A photographer took his Lego figures and reconstructed famous photographs.   So he did raising the flag at Iwo Jima, the Vietcong captain shooting the resistance fighter (although this one is a bit inappropriate since the Lego figures are grinning), the Twickenham streaker, the D-Day landings and the Moon landing.

But my favourite is the picture on the left – the VJ Day Times Square picture.

You can see all the pictures here.   Well worth looking at.

Great photos! I love Legos. When I move back to NYC, I will get a lego set and start building!
