Artist Creates World’s Biggest Drawing Using GPS
May 27, 2008 by Geeks are Sexy | 5 comments
Artist Erik Nordenakar wanted to create something unique, the world’s biggest drawing. How did he do it? He traveled all around the world, carrying a GPS-enabled briefcase, to draw his self-portrait on a map of the world. After 55 days, he came back home and used the GPS data to finish his masterpiece. His trip brought him through 6 continents and 62 countries, covering around 70,000 miles. Video after the break.

Very original, props to this Nordenakar guy…
is he actually that rich to have airplanes fly in circles in the middle of nowhere?
DHL aren’t all that reliable, they have a hard time delivering a package from door to door, I don’t know how they followed his coordinates so precisely :P
Actually he has now revealed that it was fake.

According to the same website it is fake and never happened: http://www.biggestdrawingintheworld.com/drawing.aspx
“This is fictional work. DHL did not transport the GPS at any time”
My friend, LostBob, who is a telecom engineer, sent me an email detailing how it would be impossible to do this the way it was described. Anyony can doodle on a may. I am shocked at the stupidy of the geedsaresexy authors.
