The amazing intelligence of crows

May 17, 2008 by admin | 4 comments

In the following video, Hacker and writer Joshua Klein talks about the fascination he has for crows and their surprising intelligence. After a long amateur study of corvid behavior, he’s come up with an elegant machine that may form a new bond between animal and human. Check it out.

That’s pretty neat. Kind of seems like enslavement though. I mean, what really do the crows have to benefit from from a relationship with us? They don’t have problems getting food or anything.

Ah, but at the moment they are, in a sense, parasites. Humans are enslaved to the system, why shouldn’t they be?

I wish I could just read an article instead of having to watch a video. And after all of that, the video didn’t even show actual footage of crows putting coins in the vending machine.
