Lenovo X300 to MacBook Air: “We don’t add stuff out, we build it in.”

April 29, 2008 by Kiltak |

I think everyone here knows I’m a PC guy. Not that I have anything against Macs, but I think every machine has its own market. As an IT dude who needs a light laptop with everything built-in, I (unsurprisingly) prefer the Lenovo X300 to the MacBook Air.

So when I think of corporate users who need a mobile solution, I can’t help but snicker at the following MacBook Air ad spoof from Lenovo. Apple fanatics probably won’t find it very funny, but I’m sure fellow IT people will get a kick out of it. Enjoy.

There’s only one thing I have to concede the the MacBook air: it looks really nice! The X300 looks like a brick, just like all Lenovo laptops :(

The Toshiba Portégé R500 is really something else though. It comes fully equiped with a 12.1″ screen and weights 1.72 pounds… and yes, this even includes the dvd writer.

Looks like a brick? I’ll refer you to Alan Ford in this clip from Snuff Box on that one:

I’m a mac owner, and fan I guess, but clearly NOT a fanatic as I thought this was hilarious! :-)

You do have to admit though, the Macbook Air is MUCH prettier than the lenovo isn’t it?

;-)

Who cares if it is prettier, a pretty laptop won’t make it more powerful or practical.

Never said it did Dohko, in fact the little sardonic wink at the end of my posting was meant to indicate exactly that!
