That was pretty funny.

I especially liked the square set of holes, 1 inch on the vertical, horizontal *and* diagonal! Who does this guy think he is that he can mess with Pythagorus?

Glad to see I’m not the only one that went “what? you can’t…that’s not…the square root of 2 is not 1!”

you may say the diagonal should be root 2, but root 2 is the same as root 1, which is 1 - let me explain:

sqrt(a) = sqrt(2b)
a = 2b
a^2 = 2ab
2a^2 = a^2 + 2ab
2a^2 - 4ab = a^2 - 2ab
2(a^2 - 2ab) = 1(a^2 - 2ab)
2 = 1

sqrt(a) = sqrt(2b)
sqrt(2) = sqrt(1)

and ofcourse the square root of 1 is 1 :)

enjoy.

(there is no mistake)

Yes there is. You divided by 0.

Therefore, all you proved is 0=0
2(a^2 - 2ab) = 2(0) = 0
1(a^2 - 2ab) = 1(0) = 0

Learn how to divide by zero noob!!! God everyone else can do it why can’t you? Also aren’t you being a bit closed minded in assuming that a and b aren’t imaginary numbers? “Just because something’s imaginary, it doesnt mean it isn’t real” - Southpark

(p.s. I kniow it’s tempting but don’t be a nerd and take me seriously)
