Wow! After reading the page full of comments by ignorant morons I just had to comment so that I may enlighten the unintelligible masses, or at least not lose anymore brain cells from reading drivel spewed out by unintellectual, uneducated idiots.

First off, there is always a chance something could go wrong. While not impossible, it is improbable. Even certainty itself is at times uncertain.
Secondly, have any of you actually done any research on the science going on here? Or at the very least read the safety report?
I futilely hope that the idiots posting the how “it’s the end of the world,” and how “we must stop them!” aren’t any of the feeble minded citizens in my country; the good old US of A. It’s people like you who are holding back the advancement of human kind.

I think that it is uncalled for for you to insult Stephen Hawking and his disease. Even if he is wrong about black holes, it doesn’t necessarily means that he wants to kill everyone, or would even be happy that it happened.

Anyway, if we do go into an alternate reality, we probably wouldn’t notice. Things would just be slightly different, that’s all.

And if the earth was sucked thought, we would be on the same earth with the same stuff. These paranoia stories are a load of bulls**t.

On the other hand, we never needed this thing anyway. The money could be far better spent.

No one has the right to experiment with such a high risk to life on this planet .. GENEVA SHAME ON YOU! You should know better. Hmmm, I guess you were wrong. Before you get into another scientific argument understand what words mean. In order for something to be theory it has to be rigorously tested in many circumstances and overwhelmingly backed up by evidence, otherwise it is a hypothesis. This is a basic concept learned in beginning science courses (called the scientific method).

As a reminder, Columbus had a theory (backed by many scientists’ experiments) that the world was round. It turns out that sometimes the only way to really find things out is to plug stuff in and see if it works. Besides, is your or anybody else’s life really so exciting we can’t do a little science experiment?
