If it wasn't in anyones mind to do this before, it definitely is now. It just shows how vulnerable the internet is. A lot of people's blogs and other websites rely heavily on youtube, so youtube site being down affected their sites too. Telling me that it is best not to rely too heavily on any one site. Anything can happen.

I'd say that guy's pretty well screwed.

I don't think I've ever heard of that happening, and it likely was a mistake, but it's really not a far stretch to think that someone could do this intentionally.
