I grew up on PC's, even had a Packard Bell when I was very young. I became so fluent in the way Windows Operates that I began building them for friends and even my own. However, after making the switch to a Mac, I have not had to reinstall my OS, or had it crash...in four years. I understand the stats of pc/mac users and virus' and the target audience, I just hope the trend continues, I like being in the smaller group, hopefully virus free for a few more years. Did I mention I've never had and anti-virus software on my mac desktop or laptop? It operates as it should. period.

Cheers and Happy Computing.

Virtual machines running Under VMWare on PC are also extremely stable.. Even more stable than on the actual PC :)

I run multiple distribution of Linux, Vista, XP, server 2000, server 2003 on my quad core box at work, and it works beautifully!

I used to use, and still do at my consulting gig, Windows machines and not just for simple spreadsheets and such. Actually I still have Windows through a virtual machine on my Mac. I use it for Database, Web, and .Net development.

For me it is more about the freedom that I now feel with a tool that actually works and does all the things that I used to do on a Windows only machine. In fact Windows runs better in the virtual machine than it ever did on my dedicated laptops. And because it is a simple image with all the files stored on the Mac, when Windows gets all gummed up I simply restore the backup image (5 minute transfer) and continue working.

Are we stuck up or just so happy to be able and work with something that simple does that, works.

That graphic is so funny. We have a PC and a couple of iMacs at home, and they all get used daily. I prefer our new iMac for looks, ease of use, security, and it runs Windows (although I have to admit that does seem a little sick and wrong) when we need it to. If I had to pick just one computer to keep, it would definitely be the Mac. I don't think I fit the "low modesty, high superiority" characterization, but the rest is pretty true.

This is classic. :-)

I think a Mac owner needs to use a PC for a few years first to get a little bit of experience. Makes you humble. :)
