You not only sound like an egotistical oaf from this post, you also don’t seem to understand the concept of being a geek and what it entails. It’s not as if you choose to be a geek, it’s less of a life style and more of a term used to table a certain generic pool of people who have specific interests. In no way should you ever have to emulate a certain life style to get a girl, nor do you have to throw down and be a ‘badass’ to get a girls affection. The ideal way to find a girl is to find someone suitable to your interests, someone who you can share a night doing an activity you both enjoy and not someone who’s just going to gawk at your badassery. Now, the reason you sound like an arrogant ill informed brute is due to a few things. First, you have “very little” vocabulary. Second, boasting about your “large vocabulary” and then going on to use very simple English that a fifth grader could match Not to mention the hypocrital nature of the following “im just not a pathetic douchebag about it”, where bragging about your geekly prowess comes off as exactly that. Of course, there’s also your over use of commas and lack of any capitalization witch also point to the first statement being further proven. Lastly, your points are just very, very redundant and mediocre at best. Please, never talk on the interwebs again.

He enjoys teaching me stuff that thank God I can actually remember and use (puts complicated stuff in plain english) Plus he’s open to learn other non tech skills like cooking! I have to disagree with you mate, having dated geeks, regular guys and jocks, I’d never turn back from my new found appreciation of geekdom. Geeks are all of the above and none of what you’ve mentioned, and to get them talking to a girl all you need is a girl with half a brain and some confidence to hold the conversation!

No way! Were you looking at yourself when you made this post? I’m definitely a geek (comic collection, mac AND pc lover, work in InfoTech, play magic the gathering, wear glasses), but I’ve never had want for a woman since the long drought of my late teens. Unlike some losers, a geek knows when he’s useless with the opposite sex and does something about it, like I did!

And ugly guys, get over your hangups and talk to the woman. The ugly guy who makes a move is WAY more attractive than the pretty boy who’s too shy to dance. That “secret” hangup you carry around that means you’ll never have a girlfriend? Everyone has one! Mine was being skinny, my friend’s is being fat, my other friend’s is going bald.
