		<description>Mark, why the &quot;snakepit&quot; of public domain? It&#039;s not as if the publishing community as it stands now does much to promote the VAST number of works that it holds copyright to; only those that are profitable. Personally, I think we could use a shorter copyright limit, and hasten the time to public domain. Then, whether through e-books or POD, each individual can promote their favored narratives.

Yes, I realize I&#039;m being naive. But I still don&#039;t understand the pejorative. Thanks!</description>

I can also disappear into a bookstore for hours on end (probably days if they didn&#039;t kick me out at closing time).  My husband and I actually go on dates to the bookstore, which has gotten us some strange looks from friends and family.</description>
