The Death Star canteen

It’s funny how thoughts you once had as a child get picked up later in life as comedian’s fodder. When I was a kid watching Star Wars for the 100th time, I turned to my grandfather more than once and asked him where Darth Vader had his lunch breaks. My grandfather would laugh and tell me to keep watching the movie.

More than 25 years later, this exact same question is now the subject of a hilarious sketch by British comedian Eddie Izzard. But one YouTube-r has gone one step further by synchronising Izzard’s jokes to a Lego mock-up of the scene.

As a Star Wars geek, I was on the floor laughing my insides out.

HAHAHA… that was hilarious.

I find it even more funny that British comedians are impersonating Darth Vader – in America, English accents aren’t as threatening/menacing as American accents so this clip perfectly fits a more ‘civilized’ pissed off Sith Lord.
