Carl Sagan – We’re all in this together
December 3, 2007 by Geeks are Sexy | 2 commentsCarl Sagan is probably the closest person I ever came to consider as a personal “hero”. What made Carl a truly unique human being is that when he lived, he could put incredibly complex scientific concepts into very simple words, allowing anyone who had the chance to hear him out to glimpse the true beauty of the world that surrounds us. In the following video, Carl tells the world about the destructive force of nuclear weapons and their implications on the future of humanity.

Great video.
Never heard of the guy before, but outstanding speech.
I’m sad of the lack of ambition showed these last years concerning doing great things for both mankind and our planet in general. Great things were created during the XXth century : the UN or the EU amongst others, even Internet, for chrissake :p. We owe both the preceding and next generations to use them to do as much as we can to make this word a better place to live in.
My favorite Carl Sagan video is where he describes a Tesseract. It makes my brain ache, but its cool!
